Getting Ready - Completing My Tools

I just went to RRLI Alabang this morning to meet my make-up trainer and to get all my cosmetics and make-up tools. I have almost everything except for the cake foundation and the make-up remover, although Ms. Shane, the administrative assistant told me that they will give them to me on Tuesday morning.

I have face charts, copy of the module, basic make-up brushes, lipsticks, pressed powder, eyebrow shaver, eye liners, cape, head band, sponge, tissue, mascara, eye shadow, loose powder, eyebrow scissors and my very cute make-up case. Here is my tool kit:

Make-Up My Future - Start of the Journey

My journey in becoming a professional make-up artist is about to start. I am pretty excited and nervous at the same time. I am excited because finally, I am enrolled in one of the best Make-Up Artistry schools here in the Philippines, the Ricky Reyes Learning Institute in Alabang.

I have been thinking about attending a formal Make-Up Artistry training but since I am the sole earner in the family, it took me a while to save up for the training fees. Anyway, just today, I went to the school and enrolled in Facial Make-Up course. I will have my orientation on Saturday (May 26) and my first class will start on Tuesday, May 28 from 8:00am until 5:00pm. I am really excited 'coz I have been wanting this for months.

The program will be around 3 weeks or 19 sessions. I paid 50% of my training fees and 80% for my materials. Yes, students will have to buy their materials from the institute. Although, I already have some make-ups at home, I think using the cosmetics from the institute is fine for the purpose of learning the basics. Of course, I don't want using my priced possessions (exaggeration :-)) on face charts or models which will be washed off after each session.

After enrollment, I just went straight to the bus station and headed home.
